Senior Event Producer
noisy is an independent youth-first culture agency and media network. We connect brands into culture instead of interrupting it, working across nightlife, music, food, festivals and community fitness through our platforms including LINES, Mixmag ANZ, Whatslively and Maple Social Club.
We're looking for a freelance Senior Event Producer who can take an activation from brief to bump-out without needing their hand held. You'll be engaged project by project, owning production end to end while working alongside our project management team, who handle the client and campaign rhythm so you can focus on making the event itself exceptional. Deliver well and there's a steady pipeline of work behind it.
What you'll be doing
You'll be the person who makes our events and brand activations actually happen. On a given project that looks like:
- Producing events and brand activations end to end: venues, suppliers, staging, AV, staffing, run sheets, the lot
- Translating creative concepts into production reality through scoping, planning, briefing and sampling, and protecting the idea when budgets and logistics push back
- Being the artist and talent contact on the day: assisting with logistics, riders and requirements so they walk on stage happy
- Building and owning event budgets: tracking spend against scope, negotiating supplier contracts, and reconciling every project post-event
- Delivering contracted brand and sponsor rights on site: signage, sampling, hospitality, talent moments, and everything else the partner was promised
- Owning WHS and compliance across your events: risk assessments, permits, council approvals, liquor licensing, and making sure suppliers have their insurances and paperwork in order
- Briefing and managing casual event staff, crew and contractors on site, from bump-in to bump-out
- Working alongside the project management team on timelines and client communication across each campaign
- Managing content deliverables around each event: briefing photographers and videographers ahead of time, then working with the content team on the day to make sure everything scoped actually gets captured
- Keeping clients to account: locking decisions, chasing approvals, and pushing back when a late change puts the event at risk
- Running post-event debriefs and reporting: what we measured, what it cost, what we'd do differently
- Travelling across Australia to deliver events as and when a project needs it
What we're looking for
- Serious event production experience within a music, cultural, or brand activation environment. You've produced real events at scale, not just supported them
- A genuine black book across activations: artists, agents, venues, suppliers, production crews. People pick up when you call
- Experience working with artists, agents and talent teams, and comfortable being their point of contact at an event
- Someone who genuinely gets off on running a project end to end. You want ownership, not tasks
- Comfortable building and reconciling event budgets and negotiating hard with suppliers
- A working knowledge of event WHS, permits and licensing in Australia. You know what a risk assessment is for and you don't treat it as a box-tick
- Comfortable holding clients to account and managing them completely, keeping things moving without souring the relationship
- Available for weird hours when a project is live. Events happen at night and on weekends, and you'll be there
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Tight run sheets, clear briefs, no surprises
- Comfortable working autonomously in a lean, fast-moving team where you'll need to use your initiative
- Based in Sydney, with willingness to travel across Australia, and full working rights in Australia
- Set up to freelance: an ABN and the ability to invoice
- Proficient with Claude. You know how to use AI tools to work smarter, not just faster
- A current RSA is highly regarded. Bonus points for a drivers licence and first aid certificate
What you can expect from us
- Work that sits at the centre of Australian music and nightlife culture
- A small, ambitious team that moves fast and backs good ideas
- Genuine variety across projects, no two are the same
- Real ownership over the events you produce
- A steady pipeline of projects for producers who deliver, as the agency grows across Australia and into the UK
Why noisy
We're independent, culturally embedded, and growing. You won't be producing conference lanyards. You'll be delivering activations across live music, nightlife, brand partnerships, and original event properties that people genuinely care about.
We want the people we work with to look like the cultures we work in. Whoever you are and wherever you're from, if you can produce, we want to hear from you.
How to apply
Send us your day rate, your CV, and a short list of events you've actually produced: what the event was, roughly what it cost, and exactly what you owned on it. That last part matters more than the CV.
Applications close Friday 7 August 2026.
